Carrara marble, Italian sculptors, Breton technology

Hello everybody,

Today I’d like to show you the video we displayed at the MARMOTEC exhibition  in Carrara where, besides showing the Breton machining centres “Shapemill” and “Contourfive” (two 5-axis machines you already know), we wanted to celebrate the MADE IN ITALY under the artistic and technological aspect.

Isn’t it appealing?
Please let us know what you think about it.

Bye-bye

Breton Shapemill and tombstone with two bunches of flowers carved in relief.

Good morning.
There’s something I’d like to share with you.
Today, I was stuck for words when I’ve received some pictures showing the production of a tombstone with two bunches of flowers carved in relief.

This tombstone was produced by Keystone Memorials Inc. from Elberton, Georgia (USA) which - only 5 months after the installation of our Breton Shapemill - proved to be real masters in operating a machining centre with 5 interpolated axes.

Today, combining a bit of imagination with a 3D scanner such as the Scantech SL and the Shapemill machining centre, you can produce elements with a complex shape while saving a lot of manual labour: indeed, something that was unthinkable 4-5 years ago.

Thanks again to Keystone Memorials Inc. for putting this material at our disposal.
Write to mail@breton.it and ask for an estimate of the Shapemill.
That’s all for now
Bye-bye

A beautiful bath tub made of green Guatemala marble produced with SHAPEMILL machining centre

Good morning,
Today I’d like to share with you a really stunning work.
Look what our friends from ODONE MARMI produced with our SHAPEMILL machining centre with 5 axes: a beautiful bath tub made of green Guatemala marble.

Here you can find a sequence of photos and videos showing the processing cycle.

The starting material was a block of 1.850x1.300x600mm, while the finished bath tub measures 1.800x1.250x580mm.

Time required for producing the workpiece (including piece placements): ~ 20 days.

Here is the finished bath tub.
Just a few years ago it would have been unthinkable to produce such a fantastic work using a machine.
Congratulations to both ODONE MARMI for their excellent job and our SHAPEMILL stone machining centre with 5 axes.
Should you be interested in this machine, write to mail@breton.it: we will reply you promptly
